Kronika sought to rewrite history by selecting champions from different eras who could best suit her vision for a new timeline. These warriors were removed from their original moments and kept in suspension, effectively becoming remnants of past events that no longer exist naturally. This allowed Kronika to field an army immune to the passage of time and aging, making them formidable opponents against those bound by chronological laws. The Remnant operates under the strict command of Geras, a being who has served as Kronika's general for centuries. While many within this group are unaware of their true purpose or manipulated into serving her, they possess immense power derived from their temporal displacement. Their presence disrupts the natural balance between realms, as they can be deployed across different points in history to eliminate threats before they even arise.

In Their Own Story

The air inside the Temporal Palace tasted like static and old dust. Geras stood before the great hourglass, watching the sand flow upward against gravity. A warrior materialized from the golden mist, armor clinking as reality solidified around him. He looked at his hands, confused by the sudden shift in existence. 'You are safe now,' Geras intoned, his voice echoing without source. 'The Time Keeper has saved you from your death.' The warrior nodded slowly, feeling the cold weight of a new destiny settle upon his shoulders.

Reader's Guide

The Remnant serves as the military arm of Kronika, the Keeper of Time. Their founding purpose is to secure a new timeline by eliminating those who resist the reset. Leadership flows directly from Kronika herself, with Geras acting as her General and field commander. Key members include warriors plucked from various eras, such as classic versions of Earthrealm heroes and Outworld champions, preserved in stasis until needed.
